Maximillian Amster

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Amster is CEO and Founder of Veridis. Previously, Mr. Amster was a Partner and Investment Committee Member at Avesta, a private equity real estate partnership. During his tenure, the firm grew from $125 million of assets to over $1 billion.

Before joining Avesta, Mr. Amster served as Principal and General Counsel at Jeb Bush & Associates LLC, a merchant bank founded by former-Governor Jeb Bush with interests in energy, shipping, transportation, and real estate.

Mr. Amster has a J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he served as Notes Editor for the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy and Vice-President of The Federalist Society. During law school, Mr. Amster worked at Alston & Bird, the Senate Judiciary Committee, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida.

Mr. Amster also has a B.A. in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin.

Joseph Facchini

CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER

Joseph ("Joe") Facchini is Chief Investment Officer of Veridis. Before joining Veridis, Mr. Facchini was Chief Investment Officer at InvestRes, which invested over $1 billion in real estate under Mr. Facchini's leadership.

Before joining InvestRes, Mr. Facchini specialized in structured credit markets investments, as Managing Director for ICE, Director for ICAP, and Vice President for Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley.

Mr. Facchini holds a B.A. from Princeton University.


Danielle Diaz

Danielle Diaz

SENIOR DIRECTOR OF INVESTMENTS

Danielle Diaz is Senior Director of Investments at Veridis. Before joining the company, Ms. Diaz was Of Counsel at Greenberg Traurig, P.A., where her practice focused on complex commercial litigation. Ms. Diaz has broad experience in various aspects of litigation, including motions practice, discovery, settlement, trial preparation, and appellate briefs.

Ms. Diaz graduated magna cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law, where she served as the Managing Editor of the University of Miami Law Review and was inducted into the Order of the Coif.

Ms. Diaz also received a B.A. cum laude in Psychology from The George Washington University.


Chance Fletcher

Director of Investments

Chance Fletcher is Director of Investments at Veridis. Before joining Veridis, Mr. Fletcher worked at an international firm focusing on appellate practice. He has argued in state court and in federal circuit court, and he has briefed multiple cases in the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Fletcher received a J.D. with honors from Harvard Law School, where he was an editor of the Harvard Law Review. After law school, Mr. Fletcher clerked for Chief Judge William H. Pryor Jr. on the Eleventh Circuit. Mr. Fletcher also received an A.B. from Princeton University.


Jonathan Owen

Executive Vice President

Jonathan Owen is an accomplished business development executive specializing in litigation finance. As Executive Vice President of Business Development at Veridis Management LLC, Jonathan brings a proven track record of driving growth and expanding market presence.

Previously, Jonathan served as Vice President of Business Development at Burford Capital, where he originated over $200 million in transactions across general commercial litigation, patent disputes, mass torts, and other practice areas. His strategic leadership and extensive network enabled him to exceed profit targets and set the stage for record-breaking results.

At Law Finance Group, where he was Director of Funding and Legal Counsel, Jonathan originated over $350 million in litigation funding opportunities, including a landmark $40 million investment in patent litigation. He developed customized financing products and established strong relationships with C-Suite executives and Am Law 100 firms.

Jonathan earned a LLB in Law from Swansea University and a CILEX qualification from Cardiff University, both in the UK.

Jonathan is an avid rugby & soccer player, having played semi-professionally back in the UK.

Eric Albritton

Eric M. Albritton

Eric M. Albritton is an experienced trial and appellate lawyer. He has represented plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of civil cases, including, but not limited to, business/commercial litigation, employment litigation, personal injury, and patent infringement litigation.

In addition to his civil docket, Mr. Albritton has represented witnesses and defendants in state and federal criminal matters.

Mr. Albritton has been trial counsel in more than 65 jury trials and has argued in numerous courts of appeals (including, for example, the U.S. Courts of Appeal for Fifth and Federal Circuits) and the United States Supreme Court.

Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Albritton served as a law clerk to the Honorable William Wayne Justice of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, and to the Honorable Henry A. Politz, then-Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Mr. Albritton is AV rated, has been listed as a Texas Super Lawyer since 2009, is a member ABOTA and the Texas Verdicts Hall of Fame, and is a Past President of the T. John Ward Inn of Court and the Eastern District of Texas Bar Association.

Mr. Albritton graduated from Baylor University and the University of California, Berkeley School of Law.

Samuel J. Salario, Jr.

Samuel J. (“Sam”) Salario, Jr. serves on the GP Advisory Committee at Veridis. Previously, Mr. Salario served as a judge on Florida’s Second District Court of Appeal, to which he was appointed by Governor Rick Scott and began service in February 2015. While on the court, Judge Salario participated in deciding thousands of appeals and authored more than one hundred and thirty opinions on subjects ranging from criminal law, to personal injury, to complex commercial disputes.

Before joining the Second District, Mr. Salario was a partner in the Tampa office of the Carlton Fields law firm, where he served as leader of the firm’s Securities and Derivative Litigation Practice Group. His practice involved representing public companies, directors and officers, and financial services firms in securities class actions, shareholder derivative suits, internal investigations, and regulatory investigations. He also practiced general class action defense and complex business litigation. Before working at Carlton Fields, Mr. Salario was a counsel in the Securities Practice Group at Wilmer Cutler & Pickering (now WilmerHale) in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Salario graduated with high honors in 1995 from the University of Florida College of Law, where he was a member of the Florida Law Review and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. After law school, Mr. Salario clerked for the Honorable Wm. Terrell Hodges on the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Mr. Salario also received a B.A. in Philosophy and Political Science from The American University in Washington, D.C.
